These are really good. The various ways you depict "nothingness" are original and effective, and have a kind of minimalist elegance to them.

Love the designs, and the alternate designs you made for them. For the mimic, I think an alternate shape would just be a different chest than the traditional dungeon treasure chest. Like a suitcase, or a jewelry box, or even a coffin.
